GNDU Committed to uplift Punjabi language and Literature
Amritsar, November 28: Guru Nanak Dev University is committed for the upliftment of Punjabi language, research and teaching at the university. This agenda is always at the priority of the university to spread and develop Punjabi language and literature.
Prof. S.S. Behl, Registrar said that the students who have studied the Punjabi language in 8th and 10th standard, they will have to study Punjabi as a compulsory subject in the University. He said that the students who have not studied Punjabi language in 8th and 10th standard, they would have the choice to opt Punjabi basic as the subject. However, the matter has been now kept in abeyance till further orders, in order to take comprehensive view of the issue at hand.
