Basic life support skill training program organized at Guru Nanak Dev University
Amritsar, April 09: A basic life support skill training program was organized for the students of Guru Nanak Dev University. This programme was organized by MYAS-GNDU Department of Sports Sciences and Medicine of the University. The objective of this programme was to accelerated the learning spirit of the students for becoming lifesavers.
Prof. Dr.Shweta Shenoy Head , MYAS-GNDU Department of Sports Sciences and Medicine took initiative to organize a basic life support skill training programs for students . Dr.Raman Chatrath and Dr Veena Chatrath along with their team conducted a very successful workshop.
Dr.Raman Chatrath trained the students by providing them hands on training. He accelerated the learning spirit of the students for becoming lifesavers. All the participants had a lively interaction and showed the zeal to learn CPR from the professional experts.
Dr. Shweta Shenoy said that students Life is not a simple affair anymore. With more inventions come more tensions and tensions lead to various kinds of mental & physical ailments. She said that with result of our life style, heart attack has become a normal term in our routine lives. People lose their dear ones because of lack of awareness. She said that not many people know that they can act as life savers with the help of their hands by using a technique called CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation). It is a wonderful opportunity for all the students and staff members of the University as they can learn to use their hands in an effort to save humanity.
