DTC Will bring out its enitre fleet to cater to festive rush
October 29 ,2016 Sangrur (Navjeet Singh Sran) The entire Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus fleet will out on the roads for a week starting Sunday to cater to the extra rush of passengers because of Diwali, Bhai Dooj, Goverdhan Puja and Chhath Puja.
“ DTC will ply maximum number of buses from October 30 to November 6. During festivals, movement of a large number of people to and from Delhi is expected,” said a DTC official.
Special directions on adhering to the routes and operating buses on time have also been issued to drivers. “No curtailment in operation will be allowed. During these days, all buses passing through or being operated from Old Delhi Railway Station, New Delhi Railway Station, Nizamuddin Railway Station, Anand Vihar, Kashmere Gate and Sarai Kale Khan will be operated as per their schedule,” the offical added.
The corporation also stated steps are being taken to ensure that AC low-floor buses during these days will operate to its full capacity from railway stations and ISBTs.
